Adorableness

Ya. They are freaking adorable. I could ramble on and on, oohing and ahhing over their cuteness. I don't know how you go about getting your kids in modeling but I think someone needs to check out these kids. Crew Cuts, GAP, any takers?

Love the wisps of hair framing her face. Love her eyes. Love the freckle on her chin. Just love her.

The "look". He's got it for sure. In 10 years or so I see girls melting at his feet.

The boy with the devlish grin. And, that eyebrow! OMG, it cracks me up!

Hello handsome! Hands down, the award for best hair goes to this guy. I'm becoming a believer in arranged marriages. One year or so older than my eldest daughter and cool in-laws. Sounds good to me = )

Miss Personality. Same girl in my blog header above, only older but equally as stunning now as she was then.

one lovely spring day

Finally, the spring weather looks like it's here to stay! Woo hoo! A magnolia tree in bloom, green grass, what more could a gal ask for? Well, maybe 3 gorgeous kids to go with it! K is the oldest of the bunch and a wonderful big brother. He can make the littlest one giggle with delight and always has a protective arm around her so she doesn't fall. Oh, to top it off, he is soooo easy to photograph! T is in the middle. She just turned 3 and as I understand, received many Barbies for her bday, one actually joined us for the outing. She serenaded us with Jesus Loves Me for the first part of the shoot. So darling. I'm pretty sure she was singing when I snapped the one of them on the bench = ) N is the youngest, the baby, with a HUGE smile and two itty-bitty, tiny teeth on the bottom. A go-with-the-flow attitude but she sure did shine when the spot light was on her.

T - it was so great to catch up and see your kids!! Time for the photos...

Dear Mr. Weather

We are ready for Spring, and not just glimpses of it once in a while, I'm talking consistancy. No more snow and chilly temps. You see, this has caused one of my clients to reschedule twice and she is very anxious, as am I. She is not the only one, there are others. So, if it's not too much to ask, we'd love to have Spring here permanently.

Many "Spring" Blessings,
The Very Anxious Photographer

P.S. In case you need an example, something like below would be ideal! No pressure of course = )

blog absence and SENIORS 2011

I've received a couple emails inquiring about my blog absence. I can't believe it's been a MONTH since my last update. Wowzers! So, yes, I'm still alive. Just been busy with a multitude of things too random, mundane, and boring for me to list. However, I will be attempting to go back to our regularly scheduled blog updates = )

Calling the Class of 2011 SENIORS! Just like last year, I'm looking for a few brave representatives. I had an amazing group for 2010 and I know the 2011 class will be every bit as fabulous. What's in it for you? Reduced session fee, free wallets, 3 facebook images, and a few free prints (4x6 or 4x5). Your part? Spread the word. Share your amazing images with all your friends and encourage them to book their senior session with Jill Riese Photography. For each referral you get $ for print credit. Interested? Drop me an email at mjriese (at) windstream (dot) net. Limit of 3 representatives per High School.

happy valentines day

I have to admit I'm not a Valentine's fan. I don't like flowers, least of all roses paired with a 50% mark up, I don't really do jewelry and I'm not a chocolate lover. My husband got off easy in this category and I do tend to remind him of this fact. Instead, we will probably be enjoying chinese food by candle light with our 3 rug rats = ) This has become our tradition as the kids think the candles are way cool and I'm relieved of cooking and cleaning duty! This year Valentine's day and the Chinese new year are on the same day so our little tradtion makes perfect sense = )

lifestyle photography - 1st bday

I have received some inquiries about lifestyle photography so I thought I'd share some images from a 1st bday party as an example. The wonderful thing about lifestyle photography is the options are limitless. It captures the uniqueness of the individual or family. The moments are real and unstaged. It's a story told through images. With that said, I'll let the images below do the speaking instead of me typing and you can form your own story =)

Happy bday Ms. N!!!

a great start

My camera has finally come out of hybernation! This was my first official session of 2010 and I couldn't have asked for better kiddos!

Enthusiastic - check!

Playful - check!

Adorable - check!

What more could I ask for? Not a thing. Mr. C was a ham from the get go! He lit up with personality in front of the lens and at times, had us all laughing! Be a judge for yourself and check out the image below. Can you see that little sparkle in his eyes paired with his little devilish grin = ) Oh my!

Big sis Ms. K had just as much personality in her. Bashful, serious, silly, etc.... you name it and I'm pretty sure we saw it (and captured it). I puffy heart her adorable dimple. I used to have a dimple, now it looks more like a wrinkle! Oh to have that beautiful dimple!!

And, to finish the session, look what they gave me. 100% all natural. I was actually trying to pose them and they did this on their own.
